Searching For The Perfect Deer Camp?
You'll Find It At - Bar M Bunkhouse

End of a Hunting Day

It was evening at the Bar M Bunkhouse and outside the setting sun dappled the fall Iowa landscape with light and shadow. A day of hunting had ended and hunters filled their bellies with venison stew. Words filled the air along with sounds of laughter and groans as the days events were retold along with stories of past years hunts. The evening drew into night and the hunters fought to stay awake as the bunkhouse became too warm for long johns and flannel shirts.

The quality of a deer camp is hard to measure. It is the anticipation of the hunt; the memories created; the other hunters in camp; the deer tracks by your stand; the respect you give to old bucks and old hunters. Deer camp is about simple pleasures like a fresh cup of coffee, a friendly card game or a warm bunk to sleep in for the night. Deer camp should make us better people. It should heighten our awareness of life in the wild. It should be a place where children learn lessons that they can not find in a classroom.

If your serious about hunting, you will truly appreciate and understand the significance of deer camp. We'd like you to experience our humble place, our deer camp, the Bar M Bunkhouse.
